Kate Middleton may be the Duchess of Cambridge, but that doesn't make her immune to everyday-people problems such as painful heels. In fact, considering that she has to spend quite a lot of time in those L.K. Bennetts doing official royal duties, we're guessing she's more used to aching feet than many of us.
But it turns out, that aside from switching to her trusty wedges every now and then for a bit of relief for her insteps, the Duchess has another hack for keeping her feet as comfortable as possible.
Vanity Fair actually reported back in 2015 that the Duchess is a fan of a particular brand of insoles: Alice Bow, which offers a range of leather insoles for flat shoes and heels, and has a personalization service, all starting at $20.
According to one source, Kate at least used to be a fan: "Kate has ordered a couple of packets, she thinks they are great," they told Vanity Fair.
At the time, however, the company would not confirm or deny the rumors.
"There has been talk of the Duchess wearing the insoles, but we cannot comment either way," Alice Bow said. "We have seen a massive surge in site visits, however."
INTERESTING.
Whether or not the Duchess still dabbles in leather insoles, we don't know, but it could explain how she's able to be on her feet in heels for so long without the slightest grimace on her face.
